About this resource

Engage your Key Stage 1 children with this fun and interactive Easter-themed maths activity : Easter Roll Them, Make Them, Add Them, Write the Answer! Perfect for classroom warm-ups, home learning, or intervention groups, this hands-on activity helps children practice addition in a playful way. Simply print, laminate, and cut the sheet in half , then provide each child with a sheet, some playdough, a whiteboard pen, and two 6-sided dice . Children roll the dice on the red section, create Easter eggs with playdough to represent the numbers on the orange section, add the numbers together on the green section, and write the answer in numerals or words on the blue section. This activity is reusable —children can erase and repeat as many times as they like, reinforcing their addition skills while having fun with a festive Easter twist. The standard small step pack, as her own modules ship it. We do not print page counts here, because her catalogue does not publish them and a guessed number is worse than none.

★★★ Differentiated three ways
  • Working towardsScaffolded, with the model or the bar already drawn.
  • Working withinThe expected standard for the year group.
  • Greater depthReasoning and explaining, not just more of the same.

Her own system, with the star count repeated in every worksheet header so a child can be handed the right sheet without a word.
