Year 3 Differentiated Wordsearch – Suffix -ed Reinforce past tense spelling patterns with this differentiated wordsearch focusing on the suffix -ed . This engaging activity helps Year 3 pupils consolidate their understanding of -ed verb endings, including how different spellings apply to root words. Differentiation: ⭐ 1-star : Words appear horizontally and vertically in the forward direction—ideal for building foundational skills. ⭐⭐ 2-star : Words are also horizontal and vertical (forwards) , but with similar-looking distractor words to encourage close attention and careful searching. ⭐⭐⭐ 3-star : Words appear backwards and diagonally , offering a challenge for confident spellers.
