Middle Sounds

Middle Sounds is a carefully designed resource created by dyslexia specialists to support early phonics development through focused auditory discrimination practice. This resource targets the identification of short vowel sounds (a, e, i, o, u) in the middle of simple CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words. Learners are encouraged to listen carefully, say the word aloud, and colour in the vowel they hear—helping to strengthen phonemic awareness, a core skill in reading and spelling.
