This SATs Practice: Long Multiplication (Four-Digit × Two-Digit) resource is designed to support Year 6 pupils in mastering one of the most demanding written calculation skills in the KS2 curriculum. Pupils practise multiplying four-digit numbers by two-digit numbers using the formal long multiplication method expected in KS2 SATs . The structured practice enables children to strengthen place value understanding, accuracy and efficiency while working with larger numbers. This resource supports pupils to: Set out long multiplication clearly and correctly Apply place value when multiplying across thousands, hundreds, tens and ones Accurately calculate and add partial products Build stamina and confidence for arithmetic papers This resource is ideal for: SATs revision and preparation Upper KS2 fluency sessions Targeted interventions and booster groups Homework and independent consolidation Fully worked answer pages are included , showing each stage of the calculation process, making it suitable for teacher modelling, guided practice and self-checking.
Show lessThe standard small step pack, as her own modules ship it. We do not print page counts here, because her catalogue does not publish them and a guessed number is worse than none.
Her own system, with the star count repeated in every worksheet header so a child can be handed the right sheet without a word.
