Spring Wordsearch

This Spring themed Year 6 wordsearch is a challenging literacy activity designed to support spelling accuracy, vocabulary development and contextual understanding . It is ideal for use during SPaG lessons, early finisher time, revision sessions or homework . This resource builds on the Year 5 version , with words hidden horizontally, vertically and diagonally , in both forward and backwards directions . To increase the level of challenge and ensure suitability for Year 6 learners, the wordsearch includes incomplete clues . Instead of a full word list, children are given a clue (similar to a crossword) , the starting letter of each word , and the number of letters it contains. Pupils must first work out the correct word before locating it in the grid, encouraging deeper thinking, spelling recall and contextual understanding.
