“Good value, and the answers are actually on it.”
Small thing, but half the free sheets online expect you to work the answers out yourself. My TA can run a group on this without a briefing first.

Give your Upper Key Stage 2 pupils confidence with tricky spelling patterns using this Year 5/6 Spelling Resource Pack, focusing on ough words that rhyme with though , plus the high-frequency word through . Linked to the statutory Year 5/6 spelling requirements, this pack helps children recognise how the ough letter-string can represent different sounds and meanings in words such as though, although, through, and dough . Through clear explanations, examples, and interactive tasks, pupils explore how the same spelling pattern can behave differently depending on the word. This strengthens spelling accuracy, broadens vocabulary knowledge, and supports reading fluency. The pack is designed for whole-class teaching, small-group sessions, or independent work, making it flexible, low-prep, and ideal for embedding this commonly confusing spelling rule into everyday practice. What’s Included in the Pack? ✔ Teaching slides introducing ough words rhyming with though (e.g. though, although, dough ) and the irregular through ✔ Sorting and categorisation tasks to group words by sound and usage ✔ Error-spotting and correction activities to build accuracy ✔ Sentence-writing challenges to apply the words in meaningful contexts ✔ Word hunts and investigations into other ough patterns pupils may encounter ✔ Answer sheets included for simple marking or pupil self-checking Why Teachers Love This Pack: ✔ Covers statutory Year 5/6 spelling requirements with engaging activities ✔ Differentiated and flexible for whole-class, group, or individual learning ✔ Combines spelling with grammar, vocabulary, and reading fluency practice ✔ Perfect for SPaG starters, revision, interventions, or homework Curriculum Links: This pack supports the Upper Key Stage 2 National Curriculum for English by helping children: ✔ Spell and understand words containing the ough letter-string ✔ Recognise that the same spelling can represent different sounds ✔ Apply new vocabulary accurately in written sentences Whether
Show lessThe standard small step pack, as her own modules ship it. We do not print page counts here, because her catalogue does not publish them and a guessed number is worse than none.
Her own system, with the star count repeated in every worksheet header so a child can be handed the right sheet without a word.

“Fine, though the font is small for my class.”
The maths is right and the sequence is sensible. Several of my children needed it enlarged to A3, which is easy enough but worth knowing before you print thirty.

“Printed it at eight on a Sunday and taught it on the Monday.”
No editing, no reformatting, no hunting for the answers. The three levels are on separate pages, which sounds obvious until you have used the sites where they are not.
