This Year 6 Maths Assessment and Curriculum Questions Resource is a comprehensive and engaging pack designed to support teaching, learning and assessment across the full Year 6 mathematics curriculum , in line with the UK National Curriculum . It is ideal for whole-class teaching, guided group work, targeted interventions, revision activities, SATs preparation, or end-of-unit and end-of-year assessment. The resource covers all key Year 6 maths learning objectives , starting with number and place value, including reading, writing and comparing numbers up to 10,000,000 , rounding numbers to any required degree of accuracy, using negative numbers in context, and working confidently with powers of 10. Pupils develop fluency in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using large numbers, applying efficient mental strategies, formal written methods and estimation to check answers. A strong emphasis is placed on fractions, decimals and percentages , including simplifying fractions, finding common factors and multiples, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions, converting between fractions, decimals and percentages, and solving problems involving ratio and proportion. Pupils also practise calculating percentages of amounts and using these skills in real-life and financial contexts. The resource provides comprehensive coverage of algebra , including using simple formulae, expressing missing number problems algebraically, generating and describing linear number sequences, and solving equations. Measurement objectives include length, mass, capacity, perimeter, area and volume , as well as converting between metric units and understanding miles and kilometres. Pupils also apply their understanding of time and money to multi-step problem-solving. Geometry and position content includes recognising and classifying 2D and 3D shapes , finding unknown angles, understanding angles in polygons and circles, drawing and interpreting shapes on a coordinate plane
Show lessThe standard small step pack, as her own modules ship it. We do not print page counts here, because her catalogue does not publish them and a guessed number is worse than none.
Her own system, with the star count repeated in every worksheet header so a child can be handed the right sheet without a word.
