Count forwards and backwards in multiples of 2, 5 and 10, up to 10 multiples, beginning with any multiple, and count forwards and backwards through the odd numbers

Year 1NCETM Ready to Progress5 resources teach this

What this means, in plain words

A multiple of a number is what you get when you multiply it by a whole number, so 12 is a multiple of 3.

Counting here means saying the number names in order, forwards or backwards, and in steps larger than one.

Multiplication is repeated addition of equal groups. Division shares a total into equal groups, or works out how many groups fit.
