The SATPIN Initial Sounds resource is designed by dyslexia specialists to support early phonics development through engaging, hands-on activities. Focusing on the six key initial sounds— s, a, t, p, i, n —this resource encourages children to recognise and isolate sounds at the beginning of words. Each activity sheet includes a set of images where children cut and stick only those that begin with the target sound. Every sound group includes four correct images and two distractors to promote focused listening and sound discrimination. Key Features Developed by dyslexia specialists to align with structured literacy approaches Supports phonemic awareness and early decoding skills Cut-and-stick format to reinforce learning through physical interaction Clear, uncluttered layout with minimal text to reduce visual stress Ideal for 1:1 interventions, small group work, or independent practice Suitable for Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 Children with dyslexia or other specific learning difficulties Home learning, classroom use, and specialist interventions This resource supports foundational reading skills in a dyslexia-friendly format, making it an ideal tool for educators, tutors, and parents.
Show lessThe standard small step pack, as her own modules ship it. We do not print page counts here, because her catalogue does not publish them and a guessed number is worse than none.
Her own system, with the star count repeated in every worksheet header so a child can be handed the right sheet without a word.
