Negative Numbers – Year 6 Maths Resource Help your Year 6 pupils develop a solid understanding of negative numbers with this comprehensive resource. Focusing on using negative numbers in context, learners will practice calculating intervals across zero, applying their knowledge to real-world scenarios such as temperatures, elevations, and financial calculations. This resource is aligned with the Year 6 National Curriculum and supports pupils in becoming confident with both positive and negative integers, preparing them for more complex mathematical problems. National Curriculum Link: Use negative numbers in context, and calculate intervals across 0 Ideal for classroom lessons, revision, homework, or interventions in upper Key Stage 2.
Show lessThe standard small step pack, as her own modules ship it. We do not print page counts here, because her catalogue does not publish them and a guessed number is worse than none.
Her own system, with the star count repeated in every worksheet header so a child can be handed the right sheet without a word.

“Good value, and the answers are actually on it.”
Small thing, but half the free sheets online expect you to work the answers out yourself. My TA can run a group on this without a briefing first.

“Fine, though the font is small for my class.”
The maths is right and the sequence is sensible. Several of my children needed it enlarged to A3, which is easy enough but worth knowing before you print thirty.
