The resource covers all key Year 5 maths learning objectives , beginning with number and place value, including reading, writing and comparing numbers up to 1,000,000 , counting forwards and backwards in powers of 10, rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100, 1,000, 10,000 and 100,000, and understanding negative numbers. Pupils build fluency in addition and subtraction with numbers of more than four digits, using efficient mental strategies, formal written methods and estimation to check accuracy. A strong focus is placed on multiplication and division , including multiplying and dividing numbers by 10, 100 and 1,000, using long multiplication and short division methods, identifying factors and multiples, recognising prime numbers, and solving multi-step word problems involving all four operations. Good value, and the answers are actually on it.

Small thing, but half the free sheets online expect you to work the answers out yourself. My TA can run a group on this without a briefing first.

Fine, though the font is small for my class.

The maths is right and the sequence is sensible. Several of my children needed it enlarged to A3, which is easy enough but worth knowing before you print thirty.

Printed it at eight on a Sunday and taught it on the Monday.

No editing, no reformatting, no hunting for the answers. The three levels are on separate pages, which sounds obvious until you have used the sites where they are not.
