What this means, in plain words
An improper fraction is top-heavy, worth more than one whole. A mixed number writes the same amount as a whole number and a fraction side by side.
A fraction describes part of a whole, or part of a set, once the whole has been split into equal pieces.
Multiplication is repeated addition of equal groups. Division shares a total into equal groups, or works out how many groups fit.
