Bring excitement to early maths learning with these Firework Counting Clipcards ! Designed to help children develop strong counting and number recognition skills, this engaging activity combines hands-on fun with key EYFS curriculum goals. Learners count the number of colourful fireworks (or objects) on each card and use a peg to clip the correct numeral. This interactive approach strengthens fine motor skills while reinforcing one-to-one correspondence and the cardinal principle — understanding that the final number counted represents the total amount. Aligned with Development Matters and Birth to 5 Matters , this resource supports progression from Nursery (Range 5) to Reception (Range 6), helping children link numerals and quantities up to 10. Ideal for maths corners, continuous provision, or small group activities — simply print, cut, and laminate for long-lasting classroom use.
Show lessThe standard small step pack, as her own modules ship it. We do not print page counts here, because her catalogue does not publish them and a guessed number is worse than none.
Her own system, with the star count repeated in every worksheet header so a child can be handed the right sheet without a word.

“Good value, and the answers are actually on it.”
Small thing, but half the free sheets online expect you to work the answers out yourself. My TA can run a group on this without a briefing first.

“Fine, though the font is small for my class.”
The maths is right and the sequence is sensible. Several of my children needed it enlarged to A3, which is easy enough but worth knowing before you print thirty.
