This is a proposal for how the back office could work. It is not connected to live data.
Catalogue figures are measured from a harvest of the live site. People, orders and campaigns are invented.
You are browsing as a signed-out visitor, so nothing on these screens will save. Publishing, generating and importing are all refused.
Things you could fix
Five jobs, five different buttons. The button matches the problem: drafting words is not the same work as deciding whether two resources are the same resource, and neither is the same work as making a picture that needs no decision at all. Nothing any of them does reaches your site without you approving it.
Pick a job
Start anywhere. You can stop halfway through any of them.
| How many | What it is | What the button does | What you can do |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1,102 | Resources with nothing written under them | Each draft is written from what is already known about the resource: the year group, the strand, what the title says it is, and what a module of that kind contains. You accept, change the wording, or skip it. | |
| 2,411 | Resources sharing a name with another | Some of these are the same resource uploaded twice. Most are a set of worksheets uploaded one at a time. A single rename button would make the second kind worse, so this groups them by the shared name and lets you decide one group at a time. | |
| 2,988 | Descriptions under forty words | Your own words are kept exactly as you wrote them and the draft is added underneath. Nothing you have written is replaced, and you can change every word of the addition before you accept it. | |
| 82 | Resources with no cover pictureNothing to decide on this one | Covers are drawn from the resource itself, so there is nothing to write and nothing to decide. See what will be produced, make them all in one go, then put them live when you are happy. | |
| 100 | Resources not filed under a year group | Each suggestion comes from the title and the categories the resource already sits in, and every one shows how sure it is. Anything the evidence cannot settle is left alone rather than guessed at. |
