This is a proposal for how the back office could work. It is not connected to live data.

Catalogue figures are measured from a harvest of the live site. People, orders and campaigns are invented.

School quotes

A school asks, waits for a finance meeting, raises an order number, then pays a month or two later. This is the only screen that holds that whole conversation, so nothing is left sitting in an inbox. It is also the only place a school price exists: you type it here, per school, and the invoice copies it.

School quotes. Schools asking what a licence costs. This is the only place in the whole build where a school price is typed, and everything downstream copies it. These are separate on purpose: a teacher, a book buyer and a school buy in three different ways and are chased in three different ways, and putting them in one list is what made it hard to tell what you were looking at.

The link a school opens. A quote is read at /schools/quote/MTC-2026-0146?k=KEY. References run in sequence, so the key is what proves the link is theirs; without it the page shows nothing but the reference. Accepting from that page reaches exactly the same state as ticking it here, and if you have re-quoted since they were sent it, they are told the figure has moved rather than accepting one nobody agreed to.

Access starts at the order, not at the payment. A school on thirty day terms that raises an order in September should be teaching with your resources in September. Waiting for the money is how a school ends up with two months of an academic year it paid for and could not use.

No figure is ever worked out for you. Your four school products are still in the catalogue and are untouched, but nothing on this screen reads them. A school pays what you quoted that school, and that number exists because you typed it. If you have not typed one, no document shows one.
