This is a proposal for how the back office could work. It is not connected to live data.

Catalogue figures are measured from a harvest of the live site. People, orders and campaigns are invented.

Read only

You are browsing as a signed-out visitor, so nothing on these screens will save. Publishing, generating and importing are all refused.

Your own pictures

Everything else the builder draws comes out of the catalogue: 568 drawings and 331 cleared photographs, all of it made or filtered by us. Some pictures cannot come from there. A portrait of a real person is the plain example, and it is the one your Black History Month resources need. Those are yours to supply, and this is where they live.

Uploading a PowerPoint rather than a picture? Import a PowerPoint opens a .pptx, shows you what is in it and puts it onto the template.

Every picture has its three answers, so every one can go on a sheet.

Where they show up

The picture box

They sit alongside the drawings and the photographs wherever you choose a picture, marked as yours.

Why you are asked three questions about every picture

You sell these sheets. That means every picture on one has to be a picture you are allowed to sell, and most of what looks free online is not: it is free to look at, or free for a school display, which is a different thing from being inside something with a price on it. If the person who owns a picture ever comes asking, they come to you, not to the website.

So the answers stay attached to the picture instead of living in your head. In two years, when a school asks where a photograph came from, the answer is on this screen rather than in a folder called Downloads. If you are ever not sure about a picture, that is the answer: do not use it.

Your pictures

These appear wherever you choose a picture in the builder, on the same shelf as the drawings and the photographs, marked as yours.

Nothing here yet. Add the first picture on the right.
A portrait for Black History Month is the reason this screen exists.

Add a picture

PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP, up to 8MB. Not SVG: those can carry code inside them and these files go into resources you sell.

This is what you will type into the picture box to find it again.

Before it can go on a sheet

You are selling these sheets, so a picture on one has to be a picture you are allowed to sell. If it turns out not to be, the person who has to answer for it is you. These three answers stay attached to the picture, so in two years anyone can see where it came from.

Does it have to be credited?
  • Nobody has said where this picture came from.
  • Nobody has confirmed that this picture may be used in a resource you sell.
  • Nobody has said whether this picture has to be credited.
