How to use this resource:

These are large class flashcards for the ‘ar’ sound.

We have included words where the sound is in red, to support segmenting and blending.

How is this resource differentiated?

The first sheet is for those working towards age expected. The four words can all be found horizontally or vertically in the wordsearch.
The second sheet is for those wording at age expected. The four words are all horizontal or vertical but there are more letters and words that are similar to those that need to be found.
The third sheet is for those working at greater depth. The four words are either backwards or diagonal within the wordsearch.
