This is a proposal for how the back office could work. It is not connected to live data.

Catalogue figures are measured from a harvest of the live site. People, orders and campaigns are invented.

Read only

You are browsing as a signed-out visitor, so nothing on these screens will save. Publishing, generating and importing are all refused.

Plan a lesson

Two pages a teacher holds, and nothing a child writes on. Page one is the lesson, page two is what you need before it starts. Nothing on this screen is generated: every word on the pages is yours, and the preview beside them is the same thing that prints.

Opening…

Not sure what goes where? Fill it with your own Year 1 fractions lesson, typed out from the PDF you sent, and change it from there.

Which lesson this is

The year group sets the colour of every box, and Reception cites Development Matters instead of the national curriculum. Both are worked out from this one choice, so neither can be got wrong by hand.

One lesson number, printed on both pages. Your own Year 3 money pack says Lesson 2 on page one and Lesson 4 on page two, which is the sort of thing nobody notices until a teacher does.

Page one, the lesson

What the teacher does, in order

A picture of the slide, optional

Four of your seven show the slide the practical task comes off, inside the Activity box. Reception has none. A screenshot of the slide is what these are.

Page two, before the lesson

Two boxes by two, as yours are

Every one of your seven fills all four of these. You can publish without them and finish them later: the pack is still a lesson. What it may not be is a pack with no lesson in it.

        • Lesson.pdfBoth pages, at the size your own packs are, ready to print.

        And what else it becomes

        • Its own page on the siteNot yet. A lesson goes on the site and downloads as a PDF from any computer, but it does not have a product page of its own the way a sheet does. That is the next piece of work.
        • What a teacher getsTwo pages and no worksheet. Nothing here is printed for a child to write on, which is what makes this line what it is.
        • Where it is filedYear 1, Autumn term, lesson 1. The whole pack is in Year 1 colours.
        • Also in the folderNothing else. Five of your seven ship a printable beside the plan, so if this one should, name it above.

        Take the lesson

Both pages as one PDF, drawn by the same two components that drew the preview, so the file cannot differ from what you are looking at.

        Put it on the site

Publishing keeps the lesson on the site rather than in this browser, so it opens on any computer and anybody you have given the admin to can correct it. Nothing is charged for and nothing is posted anywhere.

        • . It needs a name. The name is its address on the site, and an address cannot be changed later without breaking the link.
        • Page one is empty. Starter, Introduction, Activity and Plenary are the lesson, and with none of them written the page prints as four empty boxes.
        • It needs an objective. It prints across the band on both pages, and without one the band reads "NC link:" and stops.
